GM ADAS Test Drive Checklist

IMPORTANT:    Always be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle

                        Your test vehicle may not be equipped with all safety systems

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

• Verify Driver Information Center (DIC) displays green icon
• Test drive speed must be above 18 MPH/30km/h
• Verify vehicle accelerates/decelerates when following another vehicle ahead

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

• Test drive speed must be at least 35 MPH (56 km/h) for at least 10 minutes
• Verify amber lane departure warning indicator located on instrument cluster flashes.
• Verify system produces three (3) chimes through the infotainment system or three pulses to the left or right side of the seat

Forward Collision Alert (FCA)

• Verify Driver Information Center (DIC) presents the following
  • Green icon when following a vehicle
  • Amber icon when you are following too closely
  • Flashing red “Collision Alert” on windshield and seat pulses 5 times/8 high-pitched beeps when approaching vehicle too quickly

Blind Zone Alert (BZA)

• Vehicle speed should be more than 18MPH/30 km/h
• Verify Lane Change Alert icon appears in side-view mirrors when a vehicle appears in blind spot

Rear Camera Mirror (RCM)

• Verify mirror provides clear view of behind vehicle

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

• When in Reverse, verify Driver Information Center (DIC) displays flashing triangles and arrows pointing left or right
• Verify seat presents three (3) left or right-side pulses (or low-pitched beeps)

Automatic Park Assist (APA)

• Vehicle speed must be below 18MPH/30 km/h
• Verify vehicle searches and finds parking spot
• Verify vehicle completes parking maneuvers
• Verify system continues to display detection warnings

Front and Rear Park Assist (FRPA)

• Verify Driver Information Center (DIC) displays illuminated bars that change from yellow to amber to red as vehicle gets closer to object

Rear Park Assist (RPA)

• While in Reverse at speeds below 5MPH/8 km/h verify Driver Information Center (DIC) displays illuminated bars that change from yellow to amber to red as vehicle gets closer to object

Front Curb View Camera (FCVC)

• When shifted into Forward gear and there is an object less than 1 foot/0.3M away Verify Driver Information Center (DIC) displays camera view immediately in front of vehicle
