IMPORTANT: Always be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle

                        Your test vehicle may not be equipped with all safety systems

Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS):

  • Verify system provides three (3) stages of visual, audible and haptic warnings when test vehicle detects a collision when moving forward.
  • Stage 1: System generates visual and audio warnings alerting you to brake or move away from an oncoming object.
  • Stage 2: In addition to above warnings, the system lightly applies the brakes to help you slow down and avoid hitting the obstacle.
  • Stage 3: System applies brakes strongly in order to significantly reduce the speed of the vehicle.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):

  • Verify acceleration, deceleration and braking changes with vehicle in front at variable speeds

Adaptive Cruise Control w/ LSF (Low Speed Follow):

  • Vehicle speed must be BELOW 25 MPH (40 km/h)
  • Verify acceleration, deceleration and braking changes with vehicle in front at variable speeds

Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS):

  • Vehicle speed must be ABOVE 45 and 90 MPH (72 and 144k m/h)
  • Verify system keeps vehicle within driving lanes and/or continuous vehicle centering

Forward Collision Warning (FCW):

  • Vehicle speed must be ABOVE 3 MPH (4 km/h)
  • Verify system emits a beeping sound, and flashes a “Brake” message on the Multi-Information Display when vehicle or object appears in front of test vehicle

Lane Watch (LW):

  • Verify system shows live video of blind spot through the 7-inch media screen when the right turn signal is engaged or by pressing the LaneWatch button on the turn signal stalk.

Blind Spot Information (BSI):

  • Vehicle speed must AT LEAST 20 MPH (32 km/h)
  • Verify that warning light comes on in outside mirror showing which side the vehicle is being detected.
  • Verify when turn signal is used when changing lanes, the warning signal starts blinking and then generates audible alert.

Cross Traffic Monitoring (CTM):

  • Verify vehicle, while traveling in reverse, provides an audio and visual alert on the backup camera feed.
  • Verify system displays an arrow on the side of the approaching vehicle.
