Lexus Safety System+ ADAS Test Drive Check List

Pre-Collision System with Vehicle Detection:

• Vehicle speed must be between 7 MPH (11 km/h) and 110 MPH (177 km/h).
• Verify vehicle provides visual, audible and haptic warnings when test vehicle detects a collision when moving forward

Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection:

• Vehicle speed must be between 7 MPH (11 km/h) and 50 MPH (80 km/h)
• Verify vehicle provides visual, audible and haptic warnings when vehicle detects a collision when it identifies a potential pedestrian event and in daylight detects bicycles.

High Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (HS-DRCC):

• Vehicle speed must be between 25 MPH (40 km/h) to 110 MPH (177 km/h)
• Test for acceleration, deceleration and braking between vehicle and vehicle in front.

All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (FS-DRCC):

• Vehicle speed must be between 0 MPH (km/h) to 110 MPH (177 km/h).
• Verify acceleration, deceleration and braking between vehicle and vehicle in front.

Lane Trace Assist (LTA):

• Verify system keeps vehicle centered when vehicle approaches or crosses lane markers.

Lane Departure Alert (LDA):

• Minimum vehicle speed must be 32 MPH (51 km/h)
• Verify system provides visual, audible and haptic warnings when test vehicle approaches or crosses lane markers.

Lane Departure with Steering Assist:

• Minimum vehicle speed must be 32 MPH 51 km/h)
• Verify system provides visual, audible and haptic warnings and corrective action when test vehicle approaches or crosses lane markers.

Intelligent High Beam:

• Minimum vehicle speed must be 25 MPH (40 km/h) and at night
• Verify vehicle’s headlights automatically toggle between high and low beams with oncoming vehicles.

Road Sign Assist:  

• Verify system identifies and presents speed limit, stop sign, do not enter and yield signs and present results on MID.
