VW ADAS Test Drive Check List

IMPORTANT: Always be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle

                        Your test vehicle may not be equipped with all safety systems

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):

• Verify radar module is not damaged or obstructed
• Verify system maintains acceleration, deceleration and braking between vehicle and vehicle in front.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist:

• Verify radar module is not damaged or obstructed
• Verify system maintains acceleration, deceleration and braking between vehicle and vehicle in front in stop and go traffic

Front Assist (FCW) and AEB:

• Verify vehicle responds (slows/stops) when vehicle or object in front

 Lane Assist (LA)

• Verify system provides visual, audible and haptic warnings when vehicle approaches or crosses lane markers
• At speeds over 40MPH verify system counter-steers away

 Blind Spot Monitors (BSM):

• Verify system provides visual and audible warnings when vehicles appear in rear and adjacent lanes.

 Rear Traffic Alert (RTA):

• When in (R)everse, verify system provides visual and audible warnings when other vehicle(s) approach from side or rear.

 Park Pilot (Park Distance Control-PDC):

• Verify system provides visual and audible warnings when objects or obstructions are in close proximity during parking maneuvers.
• Verify system displays how much space you have behind and/or in front of the vehicle when parking

 Park Assist (Parking Steering Assist-PSA)

• Verify system controls helps judge is parking spot is big enough for vehicle
• Verify system helps steer vehicle into parking space

 Area View

• Speeds must be below 15mph/24km/h
• Verify cameras (front, side and rear) are not damaged, dirty or obstructed
• Verify system presents different camera views in infotainment system
